Privacy Policy
Last updated: March 16, 2026
CodedRealities ("we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data when you use the DayForm mobile application ("App") and related services.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Account Information
When you sign in with Apple, we receive your Apple ID identifier. Depending on your Apple Sign-In settings, we may also receive your email address and full name. If you choose to hide your email, Apple provides a private relay address instead.
1.2 Profile Information
You may optionally set a display name (store name) for publishing widget templates, and upload a profile avatar. This information is stored on our servers and is visible to other users when you publish templates to the Widget Store.
1.3 Journal Data
DayForm stores the content you create, including:
- Widget templates and their configurations
- Daily entries and field values
- Tags you create and assign to days
- Media files you attach (photos, videos, audio recordings, documents)
This data is stored locally on your device and synced to our cloud servers for backup and cross-device access.
1.4 Apple Health Data
If you choose to enable the Apple Health integration, DayForm reads health metrics from Apple HealthKit. This data is read on-device only and is displayed within your daily entries. We do not transmit Apple Health data to our servers.
1.5 Widget Store Activity
When you interact with the Widget Store, we record which templates you download, ratings you submit, and comments you post. If you publish a template, we store the template content, metadata, and version history.
2. How We Use Your Information
| Data | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Apple ID / Email | Account creation, authentication, and account recovery |
| Display Name / Avatar | Shown publicly on published widget templates |
| Journal Entries | Stored and synced so you can access your data across devices |
| Media Files | Stored in cloud storage (Cloudflare R2) for backup and sync |
| Apple Health Data | Displayed on-device within your entries; never uploaded |
| Widget Store Activity | Enable downloads, ratings, and the community store experience |
3. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored on servers operated by Cloudflare. Journal entries and account data are stored in Cloudflare D1 (SQLite-based database). Media files are stored in Cloudflare R2 (object storage). All data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections.
Authentication tokens are stored securely on your device using the platform's secure storage mechanisms (Keychain on iOS). We use bearer token authentication with expiring tokens for API access.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We share your information only in the following circumstances:
- Widget Store: When you publish a template, your display name, avatar, and template content are visible to all DayForm users.
- Service Providers: We use Cloudflare for hosting, storage, and delivery. Cloudflare processes data on our behalf and is bound by their own privacy commitments.
- Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required by law, legal process, or governmental request.
5. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account through the App, we permanently delete all of your data from our servers, including your profile, journal entries, media files, published templates, comments, and ratings. This deletion is irreversible.
6. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights regarding your data:
- Access: You can access all of your data at any time through the App.
- Correction: You can edit your journal entries and profile information at any time.
- Deletion: You can delete your account and all associated data through the App's settings.
- Portability: Your data is stored locally on your device in addition to our cloud servers.
7. Children's Privacy
DayForm is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete that information.
8. Analytics and Tracking
DayForm does not use third-party analytics services. We do not track your behavior across other apps or websites. We do not display advertisements. The only data we collect is what is necessary to provide the service as described above.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the App or by other appropriate means. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
